AI inside business processes
Agents for sales teams, RAG over product catalogs, AI-generated SEO copy at scale, vision models on operational data. Built so they pay back, not so they demo well.
Independent technology consultant — Montréal
I help retailers and operators ship AI into the parts of the business that produce revenue — catalog, ERP, sales, data — not into press releases. Most of my career was running IT and digital at Pro Hockey Life and FGL Sports / Canadian Tire. Since 2025 I work directly with clients.

I take work from raw business need to running in production. No subcontractor chains, no slide decks that someone else has to implement.
Agents for sales teams, RAG over product catalogs, AI-generated SEO copy at scale, vision models on operational data. Built so they pay back, not so they demo well.
Shopify-heavy. PIMs, theme work, embedded apps, store audits, catalog ingestion. I have shipped this stack from both the retailer and the vendor side.
Building a custom ERP from scratch to replace Dynacom for a multi-store Quebec retailer right now. Data cleanup, model design, migration scripts, the whole arc.
Standardizing IT processes, PCI compliance, disaster recovery, vendor selection. The unglamorous work that decides whether the rest of it ships.

HVAC & electrical parts · Multi-store Quebec retailer
From no data standards to one engine feeding the store floor, marketing, and Shopify.
Motair had no shared schema for product data — categories and attributes varied by source, by year, by whoever entered them. Defined a clean category-and-attribute structure with the Motair team, then built the engine that enforces it. Three systems now run off that foundation:
Elise — a bilingual PIM that turns raw descriptions into SEO-ready listings.
Built Elise, a Product Information Management tool for Lalita's Art Shop. Paste a raw description and a few photos, get a publish-ready Shopify listing. What it does:
Industrial supplier · Product catalog pipeline
From scattered supplier feeds to a single publish-ready product catalog.
Turning multi-supplier product data into a structured catalog — with a price-intelligence layer on top for the buying group. Three pieces:
Senior business analyst · Independent contractor
A fast, bilingual, no-framework site for an independent BA.
A single-page contractor site, plain HTML/CSS/JS, sub-200 KB total. Live language toggle (EN/FR persisted to localStorage), accessible to 320 px viewports, no JS dependencies. Designed so an inbound recruiter sees the experience in 5 seconds and the contact form in 8.
Background
I came up running infrastructure for finance and retail operators, then ran technology for Pro Hockey Life through its acquisition and integration into FGL Sports / Canadian Tire. Eight years at CTC delivering digital — leading developers, business analysts, integrations, warehousing — until I left in September 2025 to consult.
Sept 2025 — present
AI integration, e-commerce, ERP, data cleanup. Active engagements with retailers and operators in Quebec and beyond.
2017 — Sept 2025
Led front-end, back-end, and BA team for e-commerce across CTC and FGL banners. New solutions from proof-of-concept to production: technology stack, integrations, warehousing, business processes.
2013 — 2017
Took on National Sports and Sports Experts Franchise Digital after PHL acquisition. Data Centre, Infrastructure & Security, Telecom, Help Desk, E-Commerce, Enterprise Apps, PCI compliance.
2009 — 2013
Head of technology at a private-equity-backed retailer that I helped scale to $100M in revenue before its sale to Canadian Tire. Brought the web platform in-house — operational cost down 60%, revenue up 300% over four years. Standardized processes across retail, distribution, and third-party providers so the business could be acquired without the wheels coming off.

I don't sell home automation, but I run a serious one. 380+ accessories. 60+ automations. Vision-AI on the cameras for security and presence detection. If I tell you AI in your business can be reliable, it is partly because I run it in mine.
